Stacking rocks in rivers is now an ecological no-no. However, rock cairns are still one of the oldest forms of human communication and are visually pleasing. Hence, the inspiration for these spoons. Enjoy little stacked pebbles every day on your kitchen table. The salamanders and hellbenders will thank you.

Whether you are hosting tea time, or simply want to find your way to your sugar bowl spoon in those groggy mornings, in your sugar bowl, this sugar spoon is guaranteed to delight!

All spoons are hand-carved using a series of specialized hand tools. The wood is locally salvaged from arborists, the power company, and trees that fall down in storms. No live trees were hurt in the making of this spoon.

The handle is painted with non-toxic milk paint. It is a porous, durable paint that may weather over time, but will not easily chip. The spoon is treated with a mix of citrus and tung oil. Tung oil is a drying oil that improves the durability of the painted spoon. It is food contact safe and hand-washable. The spoon will have a light citrus scent, but it won’t impart a citrus flavor to your food.

Spoons are hand-wash only.
